Truth or myth: Doing squats hurts your knees?

Squatting is a very important exercise for lower limb muscle development.

The knee is a joint where several muscles are inserted, so are the muscles that help in the extension and flexion of the knee. When developing these muscles, the joint will be more protected, so the risk of injury decreases.

However, squatting should be performed correctly and without excessive loads, since when performed incorrectly they can cause injury.
