OVERTRAINING

Overtraining is characterized by a sharp decrease in performance in training, accompanied by physical, physiological, cognitive, social and psychological symptoms.

It is very important to know the body, and to understand when it is time to rest, particularly when you have a life as active as the intensity of your workouts.

Overtraining signs and symptoms:

1- Fatigue - there is a big difference between being tired and Overtraining, we may be tired after a specific training session, but it does not mean that we are in Overtraining. The signs of OT when we talk about fatigue is when it persists outside of it.

2- Muscle aches out of the ordinary - the muscle aches we feel after training are perfectly normal, but they cannot continue for the whole week, if we have pains that get worse every time we train and do not recover between workouts, we are possibly overtraining.

3- Getting sick easily - In case of overtraining, our body may have a weak immune system, due to not having enough time to recover.

How to avoid overtraining?

To avoid bad training, injuries and lack of motivation we have to give our body rest, realize what it needs at the right time.

Define our breaks well, periodize our workouts correctly and intelligently.
