7 tips to help you relax

Most people have a daily routine that they use to relax, sometimes going through simple things like a nice hot bath, reading or even cooking, but sometimes you need something a little stronger.

That's why Personal Trainers gives you 7 tips to help you relax:

1. Yoga - Yoga is one of the oldest relaxation techniques around. Combines deep breathing, movements, images and more to completely relax your body and, most importantly, your mind.

2. Increase Your Magnesium Levels - Magnesium is a natural tranquilizer. It's great for reducing stress levels and allowing you to relax. Studies have linked the regular intake of magnesium to help blood pressure, migraine, insomnia and even depression!

Tip: Symptoms for magnesium deficiency include fatigue, weakness, loss of appetite, arrhythmia, anemia, cramps, mood swings, irritability, lethargy and depression. Great food sources of magnesium come from walnuts, almonds, cashews. Pumpkin, sesame and sunflower seeds also contain high levels of magnesium.

3. Laughing - Seeing the funny side of things is great in stressful situations and can help you relax and deal better with certain situations. Book an evening out for yourself, relax, sit back and watch a comedy movie or watch something funny.

4. Deep breathing meditation and exercises - Deep breathing increases the lungs ability to deliver oxygen to the blood, which creates a relaxing effect. For the busiest people, one of the quickest ways to relax is to take some deep breaths. This helps to wake the brain and relax the muscles.

5. A day of massage or spa - Book a sporty, deep tissue massage or book even a full day spa. It will help you relax, deal with your body and mind.

6. Spend more time outdoors - Being outdoors is a great way to relax and feel good. Whether it's for walking, hiking, even walking the dog, it's important to spend some time outdoors, breathing in fresh air. For these and more reasons our workouts are carried out outdoors.

7. Drink Less Coffee - Coffee, stress and anxiety are linked. Replace the coffee with hot water and lemon and compare your condition throughout the day.
